Jeder Raucher soll eine Messung der Lungenfunktion erhalten.

 

Jedem Raucher mit einer chronischen Lungenerkrankung soll eine strukturierte Tabakrauchentwöhnung angeboten werden.

 

Patienten mit chronischen Lungenerkrankungen sollen ab dem 60. Lebensjahr gegen Influenza und Pneumokokken geimpft werden.

 

Nach einer akuten Exazerbation einer COPD, die zu einem Krankenhausaufenthalt führte, soll eine pneumologische Rehabilitation erfolgen.

 

Bei Adipösen, Diabetikern, Patienten mit Vorhofflimmern und Patienten mit Hypertonie, die über Schnarchen berichten, soll die Diagnostik zum Ausschluss eines Schlafapnoesyndroms erfolgen.

Eine akute unkomplizierte Bronchitis bei Patienten ohne chronische Lungenerkrankung soll nicht mit einem Antibiotikum behandelt werden.

 

Bei einer niedrigen klinischen Wahrscheinlichkeit für das Vorliegen einer Lungenembolie und negativen D-Dimeren soll keine CT-Angiografie der Lunge durchgeführt werden.

 

Bei Patienten mit obstruktiven Atemwegserkrankungen wie Asthma und COPD soll eine Therapie mit Inhalatoren nicht begonnen oder geändert werden, ohne dass der Patient im Gebrauch des Inhalationssystems geschult ist und die korrekte Anwendung der Inhalator überprüft wurde.

 

Bei Patienten, denen im Krankenhaus wegen einer akuten Verschlechterung ihrer Erkrankung eine Langzeit-Sauerstofftherapie verordnet wurde, soll ohne Überprüfung der Notwendigkeit (weiter andauernde Hypoxämie) keine Weiterverordnung erfolgen.

 

CT-Screening für Lungenkrebs soll bei Patienten mit einem niedrigen Risiko nicht durchgeführt werden.
